Background of the study

  1. Background of the study

This research project entitled Biodiesel from Mango Peelings have many purposes that the researcher have made studied. This significantly aimed to have a new source of fuel. This study is conducted to produce more fuel and to lessen the price of fuel.

Biodiesel can also be used as a heating fuel in domestic and commercial boilers, sometimes known as bioheat. Older furnaces may contain rubber parts that would be affected by biodiesel's solvent properties, but can otherwise burn biodiesel without any conversion required. Care must be taken at first, however, given that varnishes left behind by petrodiesel will be released and can clog pipes- fuel filtering and prompt filter replacement is required. Another approach is to start using biodiesel as blend, and decreasing the petroleum proportion over time can allow the varnishes to come off more gradually and be less likely to clog. Thanks to its strong solvent properties, however, the furnace is cleaned out and generally becomes more efficient. A technical research paper describes laboratory research and field trials project using pure biodiesel and biodiesel blends as a heating fuel in oil fired boilers.

  1. Review of Related Literature

The scarcity of the conventional fossil fuels, growing emission of combustion- generated pollutant, and their increasing cost will make biomass sources more attractive (Sensoz et al., 2000). On the other hand , biomass use, in which many people already have an interest , has the properties of being a biomass source and a carbon-neutral source ( Dowaki et al., 2007). Experts suggest that current oil and gas reserves would suffice to last only a more decades.

The majority of energy demand is fulfilled by conventional energy sources like coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Petroleum-based fuels are limited reserves concentrated in certain regions of the worlds. The sources are on the verge of reaching their peak

production. The scarcity of known petroleum reserves will make renewable energy sources more attractive (Sheehan et al., 1998).

It is well known that transport is almost totally dependent on fossil, particularly petroleum, based fuels such as gasoline. An alternative fuel to petrodiesel must be technically feasible. use of biodiesel will allow a balance to be sought between agriculture, economic development anf the environment (Mether et al., 2006)

Purpose

My purpose is to produce biofuel out of mango peeling. To lessen the expenses in the community.

Field

It is in the field of biotechnology.

date started

I started at January 5 2009. I want to work out the preliminay parts this january and february and the experimental part this comming summer vacation.

About

Fuel is very expensive today so finding other source of energy will be useful to people.
They will lessen their expenses if we can find more source of energy in waste materials such as mango peeling, vegetable, and others.^^,
